What we collect, and why

When you send us an enquiry

Our contact and audit forms ask for your name, email address, company and whatever you choose to write in the message. We also record the time of submission and, where you reached us through a campaign link, the campaign it came from.

  • Purpose. To reply to you, and to keep a record of the conversation in our customer relationship management system.
  • Lawful basis. Legitimate interests, being our interest in responding to people who approach us about our services and yours in receiving a reply. Where we later send you marketing you did not ask for, we rely on consent.
  • Retention. [to be confirmed: Enquiry retention period]

When you allow analytics cookies

With your consent we use Google Analytics through Google Tag Manager to understand which pages are read, how people arrive, and where they leave. This involves your device identifier, approximate location derived from your IP address, and your activity on this site.

  • Lawful basis. Consent, which you give through the cookie banner and can withdraw at any time.

When you allow marketing cookies

With your consent we use Apollo's website visitor tracking, which uses your IP address to identify the organisation you are likely to be visiting from, and records the pages you view. It is aimed at identifying interested organisations rather than named individuals, but because an IP address is personal data under UK GDPR we treat it as such and ask before using it.

  • Lawful basis. Consent, given through the cookie banner and withdrawable at any time.

Who we share it with

We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing. We use the following processors, each under a contract that limits them to acting on our instructions.

  • Apollo.io. Our customer relationship management system, which holds enquiry records, and the provider of the optional website visitor tracking.
  • Google. Analytics and tag management, only where analytics cookies are allowed.
  • Microsoft Azure. Hosting for this website, in the United Kingdom.

Transfers outside the United Kingdom

Apollo and Google are based in the United States, so personal data handled by them may be transferred outside the UK. Where that happens we rely on the UK International Data Transfer Addendum to the European Commission's standard contractual clauses, or on an adequacy regulation where one applies. The specific basis for the Apollo transfer is [to be confirmed: Apollo data transfer basis].

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us to give you a copy of your personal data, correct it if it is wrong, delete it, restrict how we use it, or send it to someone else in a portable form. You can object to processing we carry out under legitimate interests, and you can withdraw consent at any time without affecting anything we did before you withdrew it.

To exercise any of these, email info@ionyze.co.uk. We will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, or on 0303 123 1113. We would rather you raised it with us first so we can put it right.

Cookies

What we set, what each one is for and how to change your choice is in the cookie policy.

Changes to this notice

If we change how we use personal data we will update this page and, if the change affects cookies, ask for your consent again. This version took effect on the date shown at the top.
